About Carmona

Academia Oxford
Carmona, Seville

The Academia Oxford is located in Carmona, an old, historically interesting and attractive town (population 26,000) about 30 kilometres from Seville. We opened in 1986 and although a small language school, we consider ourselves to be a professional, well-run establishment, offering English and French classes to children from 5 years old up to CAE level.

We mainly teach children and teenagers in modern custom-built premises in the historic part of the town. We prepare the younger students for Trinity College London oral exams and the older ones for the Cambridge University exams. We are an official centre for the Trinity College, London oral examinations and are part of the KET/PET Organizing Committee in Seville. As the vast majority of our students are under 18, the successful candidate will need to show ample experience of working with Young Learners.

A typical timetable would be from 4 o'clock to 8.30 three days a week and from 4 o'clock to 8 o'óclock and 8.15 to 9.15 on two days. We do not work on Saturdays.

We are members of ACEIA, (La Asociación de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas de Andalucía) an association of private language schools in Andalusia and also belong to FECEI, (La Federación Española de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas), the main national federation of language schools. The welfare of both our teachers and students is a priority for us, so we take an active part in the training courses offered by ACEIA, FECEI and other organizations. The successful candidate will be given a lot of support in general class planning as we feel teacher development, both internal and external, is of crucial importance both for the individual teacher and for the school.
