About Bilbao

Lanser Language Services
Bilbao

Lanser is a professional, language training firm working exclusively in the corporate market. Based in Bilbao, on the north coast of Spain in the Basque Country, Lanser offers services throughout Spain.

Services offered

We plan and execute large-scale training plans for our clients. This includes carrying out language audits and subcontracting training to third parties in other locations.

The design of personalised solutions for specific situations is one of our strengths.

The largest part of our work is face-to-face training, both extensive and full-day intensive.

A fast-growing area is the use of new technologies to bring our experts to our corporate students: we work via telephone, and by conference and videoconference call.

Conditions /Work environment

Our training activities have been certified under the ISO9001:2000 rules since 2001. This guarantees our clients constant, replicable quality training, and an easy-to-use, thorough and comprehensive support system for the training team.

Our professional approach means we respect labour, sector, health and safety, and data protection legislation. We invest in training, both internally and externally.

Lanser is a company many people are happy to work with, and would like to work for.

We are a demanding organisation, but we are also supportive: we offer a friendly work environment, and career & personal development is encouraged. We have our own personnel classifications and teachers know where they are on the scale, what their strengths are & what areas require further development.

Why work for Lanser?

We are different from many language centres in Spain: if you are interested in assisting other professionals to do their job effectively, in English, then we might be the place you want to join.

If you really enjoy teaching for exams or working with children, then we are not your organisation.

Trainer/Teacher

A Senior Trainer's life is stimulating & challenging - a term may include:

  • Regular telephone training with senior managers
  • Delivering a two-day Communications Skills seminar in a multinational company, in Madrid or Barcelona
  • Participating in language evaluation interviews for personnel selection
  • Leading internal training sessions
  • Assisting a senior manager finalise the preparation of a key external presentation

Less experienced teachers get the chance to develop their skills & progress via working on in-company plans, with regular face-to-face sessions with groups and individuals.
