IC Formación is a private language school based in Bilbao, on the northern coast of Spain. It opened in 1994 and specialises in the field of developmental education, including the promotion of Anglo-Saxon, French, German, Italian, Basque and Spanish culture. We offer a wide variety of language services to many different sectors of the community, both locally and on an international basis.

Services offered

TEFL Bilbao IC Formación provides Business Professionals, Teaching Professionals and the General Public with tailor-made courses in various languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Basque, as well as Spanish for those visiting from other parts of the world and wishing to study in the unique setting which the Basque Country has to offer.

We also offer translation and interpreting services; exam preparation for a wide range of disciplines; methodology seminars; summer camps/courses; study programmes abroad and interactive educational tours of Bilbao and the surrounding area for tourists, foreign visitors to our business clients and local school children.

We, at International Centre, consider that our wide range of quality services puts us in the forefront of the Educational service sector.

TEFL BilbaoIn 2003 we started working towards developing a quality management system, with the goal of attaining the Basque Government's Q Award, and ultimately, EFQM. We were the first English-teaching school in Vizcaya to be granted the PREMIE Award. In 2006 we received the National CECAP Premio a la Iniciativa Empresarial for our alliance with two other language schools in Bilbao.

Our Mission

TEFL Bilbao IC Formación is a private language school. Our objective is to offer a wide range of linguistic services that will meet the needs and expectations of our local, national and international clients, in an environment that will enable our employees to develop their professional skills, receive the necessary training, and that will help guarantee their work stability.

These three basic statements summarise our purpose and the goals we are driven by:

  • Dedication to quality in teaching, education and training
  • Commitment towards work stability for the people of our organisation
  • Fostering the development of professional skills, by providing them with the necessary, personalised training

TEFL BilbaoTherefore, all of the actions undertaken by IC Formación aim to offer the highest level of satisfaction possible to all our stakeholders, above all those closest to us, like our staff and our clients.

As a teaching organisation, we want the quality of our service to be unquestionably the factor that makes us stand apart in our sector. In order for that, we select the people to join our team with special care, and we offer them all the support and resources they need to carry out their work successfully. Part of these resources is to contribute to their development as educators, through training and a process of continuous improvement.

We believe that a stable work environment helps people develop professionally, and so one of our objectives is to guarantee this stability in as much as we can.
